last week at this time shane had an appointment to get his wisdom teeth out. they determined the bottom ones were impacted and needed more time for the job. kinda like getting your car fixed on the piece rate system. today is the day. yesterday i filled 3 prescriptions for him; painkillers, anti biotics and anti inflammatories. i''ll have a patient on my hands for the next few days. he has to get all this out of the way before his next karate camp.
yesterday i picked up "the bells of dublin" by the chieftans. it''s a christmas cd with lots of guests. people seem to like making albums with the chieftans. it was nice change of pace for a hot summer day, listening to christmas music. i get sick of christmas music in december but last night it was nice.
Soulville (ben webster) has an excellent version of "makin whoopee". i mention this because there seems to be a lot of horny old broads on blogster.

Unfortunately, wisdom cannot be bought. It is learned. If teeth were really wise, why do people need them taken out?

I like the Chieftains-- In New Orleans that is an Irish pub the plays some great Irish tunes... and the audience gets to sing along. There were so many fun songs, I wanted to buy an CD to sing along with them...that's how I found the Chieftains. Plus on St. Patty's Day they are usually found on one of the morning shows singing some great songs.....
